Reference Books

For published materials associated with the architecture of New Orleans and Louisiana, the Louisiana Research Collection (LaRC) is the foremost repository at Tulane. For non-Louisiana architectural books and journals, please see the Architecture Library and Howard-Tilton Memorial Library. SEAA is an archives, and not a source for published books and journals, but we do retain a small number of reference publications to assist researchers and archives staff. Most of our reference books are duplicate copies of titles available elewhere on campus, and cannot be checked out of our reading room.

SEAA's reference books are cataloged in Tulane University's online catalog, use above search box. Reference books are accessible Monday through Friday 10:00am to 5:00pm in the Tulane University Special Collections reading room, located in room 202 of Jones Hall, 6801 Freret Street, New Orleans, LA 70118. For more information, please contact specialcollections@tulane.edu or call 504-865-5685.
