Permission to Publish
The SEAA makes copies available for fair use purposes, and possession of such copies does not convey permission to publish. If a researcher later uses such a copy for purposes in excess of fair use, the researcher may be liable for copyright infringement. If you plan to reproduce any of our holdings, you will need to obtain permission from the Head of the Southeastern Architectural Archive.
In order the support the SEAA's considerable and ongoing preservation efforts, the SEAA charges a fee of $100/image for permission to publish. This fee is in addition to any requested or prior scanning fees.
Please make requests for permission in writing and address the requests to:

Be sure to include the following information in your request:
- List of materials for which you are requesting permission to publish. Please be specific as to identification: author/title/date/collection name and number/folder number/project number
- Your name and full contact information
- Author's name
- Title of work
- Publisher and location of publisher
- Anticipated publication date
- URL (if applicable)
- Scanning requirements (TIFF/jpeg, etc.) if applicable
- Check made payable to "The Southeastern Architectural Archive"
Requestors will ensure that the following general citation format is used:
Name of SEAA Collection, Southeastern Architectural Archive, Special Collections Division, Tulane University Libraries.
[Please note: In some instances, name of photographer and architect or firm is also requested].
Permissions granted do not imply that Tulane University's Southeastern Architectural Archive controls the copyright to the materials or that the requestor should not secure other authorizations prior to use.
Requestors citing or otherwise using materials from the Southeastern Architectural Archive will defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Southeastern Architectural Archive, Special Collections Division, Tulane University Libraries, and Tulane University, its officers, employees and agents against all claims, demands, costs and expenses including attorneys' fees incurred by copyright infringement or any other legal or regulatory cause of action arising from the use of Southeastern Architectural Archive materials.
